Tommasi Valpolicella Classico 2004
A rosy-purple wine. The aromas don't jump out from the glass, they are light and resemble black cherries and slight oak. On the palette dark cherries with slight  bitterness at the finish.

PRICE ANALYSIS: Overpriced.

LAST WORDS: It's an OK table wine but for this price there are others that are more flavourful and more memorable.

MONTEZOVO VALPOLICELLA SUPERIORE RIPASSO 2003
A very cherry dark coloured full body wine. Fragrant, with cherry fruit aromas and almonds. Intense flavours including licorice and more fruit flavours. This a very rich and delicious wine with a long and complex finish.

PRICE ANALYSIS: Good price.

LAST WORDS: This wine is amazing, very complex, with beautiful legs and delicious flavours and aromas. It reminds me of my time in Italy, however I don't remember having such a good wine there...

Ama-Passo Cantina Calpantena 2004
A medium deep ruby red coloured wine that has been most likely made using the Ripasso process. The nose shows blueberries and light leather.  This is a dry wine that is full of flavour and tannins to balance the combination.

PRICE ANALYSIS: Slightly over priced.

LAST WORDS:
Its is a good wine but not as dazzling as Montezovo Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso 2003.
