Mussels are great food of the sea that you can add to your regular dinner routine. A serving of mussels is approximately 3 ounces or 85 grams of actual mussels meat. It contains 146 calories, 3.8 grams of total fat and 20 grams of protein. It is not a source of omega-3 fatty acids but it is an excellent source of Vitamin B12 and Selenium. Mussels with green beans, so good!! SERVES 4
2 pounds of mussels
(approximately 1 kg)
Heat a large pan, add oil,
onion, garlic and a pinch of salt and pepper. Turn the heat to medium-low
and stir frequently until the onion softens, approximately 3-4 minutes.
