3 Minute Salad

Salads are a great addition to any meal. I love to make them with a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, they quickly become very colorful and irresistible. It’s great to make a dressing but if you don't have time, pick up at a grocery store a light dressing and add it whenever you don’t have time to make one from scratch.

SERVES 4

INGREDIENTS

2  cups of spring-mix (pre-washed) or lettuce
2  tomato cut into chunks
1  green onion sliced
2  mushrooms sliced
1  carrot thinly sliced
¼ cup of pineapple chunks from a can
    favorite dressing

Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, add enough of the dressing to cover lightly all the ingredients and serve!!

TIP DU JOUR:
I love to use pre-washed lettuce, it saves time and there is less to clean.

I recently found in my local grocery store prepackaged carrots sliced into matchsticks. What a great idea!

Its easy to make a great salad when everything is almost ready, and all you do is just add dressing and toss it together.

When I know I won't have time to make my own dressing I often pick one up from the market. I really like Renee’s Naturally Light Dressing “Roated Red Pepper and Garlic”. Not only its think and tastes delicious, but in 1 tablespoon it contains 15 calories and 1 gram of fat.
